Hey there! 

At the end of april, we went on a language field trip to Dublin with our class and two of our teachers. We arrived on Monday noon and left on Sunday in the early morning. During our time spent there we explored the city and its culture, improved our English and got the chance to see how Irish people live. 

After our landing a bus took us to the city centre where our school was located. Then we had an orientation tour through the city. Afterwards we headed to the meeting point were our host families waited to pick us up. Our days contained sightseeing and English lessons.  Our two favourite activities were the Irish dance class and the Howth cliff walk. The dancing was so fun and the beauty of the cliffs really impressed us. The nature was so picturesque and we even saw a seal.  

In class we did a lot of speaking exercises and got to know the Irish culture better. We talked about Irish sports, food and history. We liked our teachers a lot, because they made the class fund, enjoyable and interesting and filled them with interactive activities. Throughout the week our English improved a lot. At the end we even got a C1 certificate, which made us and our teachers really proud.  

It’s difficult to highlight one specific thing, as the whole trip was mesmerizing. Here are our top three activities: Number three is the food we ate. Again we cannot say what was the most delicious as one was better than the other. Sprouts and Wingstop were our all-time favourites. Number two were the thrift stores. Dublin is a vintage heaven and you can find second- 

hand shops on every corner. One even included an old-fashioned photobooth where we took some pictures. They turned out lovely and are the perfect little souvenir. Our all-time favourite was the beach. Thursday after school the whole class grabbed something to eat and headed to the sea to watch the sunset. The view was stunning and we had the greatest time. Even though we couldn’t go for a swim we really enjoyed being at the beach again after a long time. 

Despite the fact that we were there just a few weeks ago, we miss it already. It was the best school trip we ever have been on. Dublin is a lovely city and is really worth a visit. And you?
